Roger Bezombes
Bezombes was a painter, sculptor, medalist and designer. He studied in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts and was greatly influenced by his friendship with Maurice Denis. He worked primarily as a painter, adopting the saturated colors of Henri Matisse in landscapes and figure studies often based on observations of "exotic" cultures, particularly Mediterranean and North African.
